Jessica lives in Victoria, BC and works as a puppeteer, puppet maker, prop maker, and theatre creator. She is the co-Artistic Director of Open Pit Theatre, an ensemble-based devised theatre company based in Whitehorse. Her first dip into puppetry was with Ramshackle Theatre in 2017, when she co-created, directed and toured Tombstone: A Cardboard Western. She was recently commissioned by Puente Theatre to build a 16-foot glowing puppet for the National Art Centre’s Grand Acts of Theatre and is continuing to create puppets and creatures for local companies. In 2019, she joined forces with full-face mask company, The Wonderheads, to collaborate and perform in Wonderheads’ Christmas Carol and Loon. Her company is currently touring Radio Silence, a mask and puppetry show of which Jessica was the co-writer, director, and puppet maker. In addition, Jessica currently teaches Devising Theatre and Career Management at The Canadian College of Performing Arts and The University of Victoria
